PUSHING THE LIMITS features three riders, Charles, Mattews and Sven shown riding the streets of Paris, in contrast to racing the painful roads of the Paris-Roubaix in adverse weather conditions.

PUSHING THE LIMITS through it’s three in one scenario, image contrast and voice-over reveals fondamental feelings of cycling such as our own obsessions and sufferings in order to achieve a goal or to pass a finish line what ever we, cyclists, could be facing.

PUSHING THE LIMITS is a cycle creative bound between Steel and Oakley starring three Paris riders facing different weather conditions and roads. All three experienced the roads of the Paris-Roubaix with the latest Oakley Prizm technology wearing Jawbreaker sunglasses.

PUSHING THE LIMITS was produced by Steel, directed by Cédric Dubourg with the creative collaboration of Caroline Pauleau and Marc Sich.

The Director, Cedric Dubourg :
“With this movie, i wanted to build an immersive experience. I wanted to focus on the cyclists, to be closer to them. My camera was filming every details like their mouvements, faces, feelings,…
I really wanted to create a sensitive movie with powerful sounddesign. Meaning each image had to be strengthened by a strong sound.
Over the years I gained extensive experience in advertising and sport documentary, and built my own strong and modern visual identity. Each one of my films casts a though and aesthetic look on today’s trends.”

Thanks to Canyon bikes, fi’zi:k, PEdALED and A.S.O for the collaboration.
